I know alot of you have read mine before, but if my story can help anyone else.... then I will post it again.

My story begins seven years ago when my 5’6” female frame topped 200 pounds. Two years later, I hit 236 pounds and stayed there for the next four years.
As a youth, I was very active. Soccer and water sports were among my favorite activities and I must say I was pretty good at both. I attended college, got married, had a son and, as the story usually goes, I settled down.
May of 2000 I got a wakeup call. I went out on my brother’s boat with the intention of showing off my skiing ability to my husband and son who had never seen me ski. After several failed attempts to even get out of the water, I gave up broken hearted. Something had to give.
I started walking and doing Tae-Bo three or four days a week. I loved the way exercising made me feel so I increased my workouts to seven days a week. Shortly thereafter, I joined a gym. There I took advantage of the treadmill and step machine. I do weight training 2-3 days a week, and 45-60 minutes of cardio 6-7 days a week. I currently take advantage of the various classes at the gym. I have fallen in love with the group cycling class. As well as enjoy boot camp. My next step was to change my diet drastically. I eliminated fried foods, increased fruits and vegetables and started drinking a gallon of water a day.
July of 2000, I finally ran a complete lap around the high school track with out stopping. When I got home and realized what I had just accomplished, I was so happy that I cried. I wanted more of that high—a lot more.
I have since run six 5K races. I completed the first race in 32 minutes and the most recent race in 25:41. I have done one 10k race, and have started training for a marathon. After loosing 91 lbs, I feel why not… I can do whatever I put my mind to.
A few months ago , I went out on my brother’s boat again. I slipped on my ski, grabbed the rope, and screamed, “Hit it!” Two seconds later I popped out of the water like I was a pro. What a difference 91 pounds can make. I even tried wakeboarding for the first time and got up on the first try! My husband and son were so proud of me but more importantly, I was so proud of myself.
I am currently at 145 pounds and wear a size6/8. 23 months ago, I was at 236 pounds and wore a size 22. My waist went from 42 inches to 28 inches. I am 29 years old and loving my new life! My daily diet consists mostly of Raisin Bran for breakfast: one egg, toast and fruit for lunch, and a combination of pork or chicken, rice, and a vegetable for dinner. Snacks include yogurt, pretzels and fruit.
I work out now seven days a week—NO EXCUSES. I look at it like brushing my teeth—just something I make sure I do everyday.
