Hi, My name is Terri. I am 28 years old and a mom to 4 great kids. 7,6,and twins that are 2 years old. I have been trying to lose weight since my babies were born. I was around 235 and I am now at 168. I haven't lost any weight in several months. I am discouraged.I would like to weigh around 150, which is not skinny but what I would like to weigh.

I have always struggled with my weight. I have been married for 9 years and over weight the whole time. Before my second child's first birhtday I decided that I was going to get the weight off. My weight was about 260 and a size 24 by my son's first birthday about 7 months later, my weight was at 175 that was in June 97 and by October of 97 I was down to 145. I was content and very happy that I had lost the weight.

Maintained my weight for about about 2 years averaging 150 to 155. I became pregnant and gained about 20 pounds but I miscarried at 13 weeks. It was about 7 months later, I got pregnant with Twins, yeah. I was very happy.

My babies are 2 now and I would like to get the rest of this weight off. 20 pounds. I'm having such a hard time losing this weight and I just happen to find this site and thought maybe it would help me.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for listening,

Terri mommaof4

Welcome Terri. I am fairly new to Phen, about 2 weeks now and doing well but I got off to a rocky start. You didn't mention if you are on Phen, if so how much?

The best advice that I can give you and yes I've said this before, what has helped me is Weight Watchers. Before I started Phen it helped me to eat less but to adopt a new healthy way of eating. After starting Phen and haveing some side effects I started back on WW and this time I use it to be sure that I eat enough! With all those kids I'm sure it's hard to get out so you can do this on-line at weightwatchers.com. I was able to go to meetings for a few months, giving me a very needed break from my child, my only alone time I got.

It works well for me because I plan on keeping the weight off this time and I believe that you have to teach yourself a new way of eating and the way you think about food. And no I do not work for WW, just feel that it's a great program, not a diet.

Good luck

Me again. I forgot to mention one very important point and that is that in order to loose weight properly we have to be sure and eat ENOUGH. A lot of people make the mistake of eating so little that their bodies will fight tooth and nail to hold onto it's fat for a reserve. By eating at a healthy level your body is willing to let go of fat because it's not worried about starvation. It's a nice little safety net our bodies were created with.

So remember to eat enough for your body size and activity level.

Good luck, Momma!
We aren't far apart on our goals. 150 is probably a good weight for me thought i'll still be able to jiggle.
I'm in the 160s now, about 163. The weight is not dropping off easily at this point. it's a struggle.
It's tough for you because you have little ones. You are focused on their needs and will need to create time to plan your exercise and what you eat during the day. If you can do this, you will succeed.
I have 2 daughters who are teens, so they aren't as needy.
But planning the exercise and buying the right foods is rule no. 1 for me.
I only recently started posting. Coming to the site at first is kinda scary and I'm still trying to figure out how everything works.
good luck, Momma. You have an awesome responsibility with your babes AND yourself.
Hope that in three months we can both say we are 10 pounds lighter!

Hi Everyone and Thank you for welcoming me and encouraging me. I have been doing better. I have just about quit drinking cokes. I only have about half a glass a day. I am trying to drink more water and cool aid and tea. I have been watching what I eat but haven't been too strict. I haven't been taking the phentermine but I'm thinking about it. I have low thyroid and am on luvox. What do ya think. Just wondering if it would be ok. Thanks again and I look forward to getting to know you guys.

Thanks,
