Just started taking phentermine about a week ago (haven't lost anything yet) but have a long history of weight issues. Used to weigh 274 doing Atkins Diet got down to 176 over a two year period-just exercise and changing eating habits.I thought I'd found what worked for me til December of 2001 started gaining lbs even though I stuck with the program. Finally found out end of June 2002 my thyroid had gone wacky-sluggish thyroid causes other problems I didn't know about (depression, irritability, extreme fatigue-now I understand what was going on-I thought I was losing my mind).I'm now back up to 208 (very depressing).I take a little pill every morning & my thryroid is back in a normal range but I still can't get lbs off.I haven't exercised as much as I should (need to fix that) but I started taking phen to help give me a boost. My fiance is supportive and tries to understand-says I still love you & desire you but he doesn't understand that it's about me-I have to love me, it's how I feel and see myself.
I'm happy :) to have found this site and to have other people that understand and have gone or are going through this. Support is very important.

Hi, Desire, and WELCOME!!

Yes, support can make or break a lifestyle change. We're all in it together! Stop in often and let us know how it's going for you.

ps - you'll probably get more responses if you post in the My Experience With Phentermine forum...that's where we mainly hang out. :)
