I just began Phen today. Very excited. I wish to lose weight in a healthy way...exercise, and water, and proper nutrition. I will view my body as a temple.
I gain way too much weight during pregnancy...even 80 lbs! After my first I was overweight for over a year. When I finally woke up one day...I decided to lose it. With moderate exercise and good diet (under 30 g fat and under 1200-1400 cals per day,) I lost nearly 60 lbs in about a month. I was so amazed.
I'm older now. Had 3 more children and the weight from each pregancy. I am not crazy to think I will be magically transformed in weeks...It will be hard work and months to realize it. I was just wondering how quick and how slow others are losing? Was also wondering if anyone is interested in a "friend" to keep them truly motivated?
Love reading your success stories. I will offer a prayer for each of you to be strong and endure this journey...as it's not about the destination...it's the journey in which we learn to appreciate ourselves, our world, and our bodies.

Hi Alaskangalak...I too am new to phen and my first week I lost 5.5 lbs, but nothing the 2nd week. One thing we have to remember is that we are changing our eating habits and hopefully our lifestyles with more exercise so the weight will come off and our bodies will begin to look better and feel better. I guess I thought with this "magic pill" it would all fall off in a week. I do know that the pill is simply a tool to help us change our thinking and practices. Good Luck.Joie

alaskangalak,
i am inclined to think that you might see your biggest weight loss in the beginning, then it should start to average out to 2 or 3 lbs a week.
i am sure there are exceptions to the rule. some lose more and some lose less, depends one ones body, diet, excersize, and so on.
just remember and don't get discouraged. it took time to put the weight on, and it will take time to take it back off.
don't starve yourself, and drink plenty of water. in the main forum, there is an excellent post( sorry i for got the author and the exact name of the post), but it went into great detail of how inportant drinking water is to the cause.

Hello I started Phentermine on March 22 of this year. I had not heard of this pill before that day when I went to the doctor. I weighed 190 I was depressed all of the time, I had no energy it was terriable. But, today is a new day I weigh 135 and I have never felt better. Listen, it works at its own pace I think but, it does work. Before you know it you will be happy with the results it really all went fast for me. I still have days were I can't believe what I see. Good luck and I promise you won't be disappointed.

I started Phen in January and lost 66 pounds in a little over 3 months. I was very strict on my diet eating 600-800 calories and 10 grams or less of fat (very unhealthy). However I did exercize 7 days a week, never missing a day. Every day I drank a minimum of 120 ounces of water.
I slowly started to lose my hair due to poor nutrition. That pretty much freaked me out so I stopped the Phen and started WW. I really like WW you can eat whatever you like you just have to stay within your point range. The weight loss is extremely slower but I feel this is healthier for me. Don't get my wrong, I love Phen. I'm very happy and satisfied as to how fast I got results with it.

I started 11/14/02, and I have lost 6 lbs. I don't exercise much, 2 days a week, and I eat ok, no soda, lots of water, and no junk food!(Cookies, Ice cream, etc...) I know I would lose more if I exercised more. Don't starve yourself. Eat at least twice a day. Good Luck

Hello,
I was reading your post and wanted to reply with my success story with Phen.. I have been taking it since June 6, 2002... As of today I have lost 82 pounds in a little over 5 mo and over 25 inches total. From a size 26-28 in shirts to a 18-20.. and a size 22-24 in pants to a size 14-16.
My start weight was 305 pounds and I was miserable. I have done all the diets.. Weight Watchers I lost 50 pounds, but since you can eat pretty much what you want that got me into trouble. One piece of cake here and 10 points later I was eating two pieces of cake and 20 points. So that didnt work for me. This has been the only thing that has worked!!!! It gives me energy to where I go non stop and never think of eating. I know this is just something to get me to where I want to be, but boy its been great getting there!!!!
I do drink mega amounts of water!!! I have learned that if you don't drink water, you aren't going to loose. On the weeks that I didn't get much of it in, I didnt loose hardly any. But when I did learn my lesson and started to drink it, the pounds really fell.
I also don't eat after 2:00p, but I dont take my pill till around 1:00-1:30 either. Some can't take that late cause it causes them to stay up at night. Hasn't had that effect on me. I have noticed though that my hair is falling out! I have alot of hair so I can stand a strand or two to fall, but its coming out in hand fulls. On my last dr's visit I did ask her about it and she stated that I wasnt getting enough nutrients like someone mentioned in a earlier post. So you do have to make yourself eat the right foods when you do eat. That's a lesson I'm learning right now. Also I have noticed that if I forget to take it one day, the next day until I take the pill I am real moody. But then goes away....
Overall, I am very very happy with Phen and would highly suggest this to anyone!!!
Everyone keep up the good work, and lets get skinny!!!!!! ;)
