Another new phen person here. 39yo mother of three boys(9,5,3 yrs), married, back in school working on my BS in nursing. Pre-kid wt. 140 size 8 and Now a miserable 202, size 16, 5'8".
I can't even imagine what it would feel like to be a size 10 or 8 again.I've gotten lazy about fitness. My FP gave me the white tablet w/ blue spec and a diet sheet and told me to go for it. After reading the circular, I am scared of the rare, but possible side effect of pulmonary Htn. I've been on phen 4 days and only taking a half of the pill. Are any of you guys scared of that side effect as well? Also, do you really see weight loss in the first week or two?
Hopeful, Joie

Hiya Joie and Welcome to Phenland!! :)

I started Phen on August 29th. The first week my scale never ever budged but in the second week I dropped 5 lbs. Just keep in mine Phen is only a tool to help you change your lifestyle. :)
As for the Pulmonary Hypertension, I was SOOO scared at first. I am a severe asthmatic and have many respiratory issues. My doctor seems to think there will be no problems. Good news. :)
The better news....I have never felt better, I have not (knock on wood) had any asthma issues even when it was 95 degrees out!! That's a miracle. :) Just know and trust your body, and make sure you have regular checkups. :)

Hi there!
I'm pretty new as well. I started on Phen on August 24 and I am down 11 lbs. So far no side effects except dry mouth. Which is fine because I drink a lot more water.

I take 3o mg./day, I eat only 1,000 caloris and no more than 22 Fat grams per day. I am never hungry. The hungar is the hardest part about dieting.

Good luck and keep up with your check ups.

Welcome Logan!! :) Wow, 11 pounds!! Great work!!

Right now I'm doing Atkins, low carb, high fat, but I have been watching my fat intake and do not allow it to go over 8% of my total calorie intake. My calories average 900-1200 a day depending on the day. :) But I have been exercising regularly. 30 minutes every day on the treadmill until I can do more of course. Keep up the good work!! :)

Joie, hi! I have heard that monitoring your blood pressure periodically is a good idea. They have some good and simple to use devices now for home use. My hubby has sky high blood pressure when not treated (it's not my fault, really!) and so we have one here. My blood pressure has always been LOW to the point of doctor's thinking I am the walking dead but they never found a thyroid connection so I guess it's just normal for me. The phentermine has only raised my blood pressure a little and even that fluctuates back to my 'normal' region. Check out your drugstore, they should have a device you can use at home to ease your concerns.

Hi Everyone, Joie here. The first week on Phen I lost 5.5lbs and nothing the second week. I guess my body thinks it's in that "starvation mode" afterall I went from eating probably 4,000 calories a day to 1,500. I was soooo dissappointed when I stepped on the scale that 2nd week and hadn't dropped one pound. But myself lifestyle is changing, the loss will come.
It is GREAT inspiration to read all of your success stories...it keeps me going.
Beachbum, thanks for your words, we sure do have a lot in commom. It's hard doing all that we do and trying to look good in a swimsuit too, isn't it? I absolutely can't wait until I see someone who notices that I have lost weight. I think I will floating on Cloud 9 all day.
Everybody have a wonderful week.
