Hello I am new to this.
I am a 23 year old wife and mother.
I stay at home with my 4 year old son and I am putting on some pounds. I need to lose 40 to 50 lbs. and it has been so hard. I have always been a small girl now I am embarresd to go anywhere.
My husband gets frustrated(sp) cause I don't want to go out and do anything.
My goal is to get the weight off by summer time.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Dandy! You're goals aren't unrealistic, but you have to remember that Phen isn't a wonder drug. It takes effort on your part to incorporate exercise and a healthy attitude about food and losing weight slowly. There is no point in getting it off by summer if you are so strict on yourself that you can't keep it off forever, right? SLOW=SUCCESS.

Like you've probably read 1000times on this site, water is very important. I don't think Phen would work as well for me if I wasn't doing a good amount of exercise. Everyone is different, some need more some need less. See what works for you and don't give up if you don't see the scale move for you as quickly as it has for others here. I know I see people losing 17lbs in one week, and I only lost 3 my first week. I could let that get me down, but I can't if I want to keep losing and succeed at my body's pace.

Best of success! We all need to 'discuss' our situations, so don't stop posting!

Dandi,

Your not alone honey. So many moms gain weight when they stay at home. I believe this happens because the pressure is off to stay thin. ANyway, that happened to me, and I felt the same way. Didn't want to do anything. So, I changed it with God's help. He not only got be motivated but helped me to grow spiritually. I not only became thinner, but stronger spiritually. Talk about a peace. WOw.

Your child is very blessed to have you home. Alot of moms cant be, thus, sometimes, there children suffer because of it. So look at your time with your child as blessing and a time to better yourself. Then and if, the time comes for you to go back into the workng world you'll be better equipped physically, mentally and spiritually. And you can thank God for it. :)

Also, exercise. That is the key to any weight loss program. Good luck!

Dandi~ First let me say welcome! You've came to the right place for support and you will find others here going through the same things you are. I feel the same way about losing weight before the summer. My hubby likes to go out and do things that involve shorts, and swimsuits  . Most of the time I just want to stay home, but I'm hoping this summer will be different. You still have time to make that happen for yourself. Don't totally rely on SATAN (nickname for the scale here at the forum). Remember you can lose inches and it won't show pounds lost. Exercise, drink lots of water, and remember we are all human.. and its ok if you fall of the wagon occasionally, you just have to get back on with full force. It takes time to do this....just beleive in yourself and you will succeed! :D .

Thanks everyone for the support.
I am so glad I found this site.
I have only been on here for about a week and I have already changed my life style.
I used to never drink water or exercise now I drink water all day and exercise daily.
I don't know if I have lost any pounds but I sure feel better.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!
