Ephedra vs.Ephredine-Confused

I am very confused with all of this ephedra and ephedrine mess they are talking about on t.v. My main concern is does Phentermine have either one of these in them. I take the 30 mg pills. I don't undertand what the difference is at all! Can someone please explain it to me!

Completely laywoman thoughts here...Ephedrine is regulated by FDA, clinical studies done, etc, Ephedra is HERBAL, not regulated and not necessarily safe. From what I read, someone taking Phen should not be taking any OTC meds or otherwise without consulting their physcician (I would also add pharmacist as they are the ones who give the docs a lot of their information)....has to do with being related to speed and how it affects the brain, etc. You can do a Google Search on these things and find as much information as you would care to read in a lifetime. Just remember that HERBAL does not always mean natural and safe, many plants and their derivatives can cause a b***load of damage.

There is no Epherdra in Phen. Epherdra is a bad thing. It kills people. 1% of herbal suplement sales are Epherdra and 68% of deaths from herbal suplements are from it.

nope. that isn't good for you. be sure to check the labels of different diet pills before you buy. Ephedra is in d*mn near all diet pills! if it doesn't contain it, the bottle will usually say "ephedra free" on the front. it gives you a really wierd feeling, like real jittery and paranoid! i call it the "heebie jeebies" :)
I remember when i was taking Xenadrine a long time ago, it had me running and jumping around like a d*mn crack head!!!! :D
