Hi,
This is what I had found on the net at drugdigest.com, past this info I have no idea.. Good Luck. ( i am sure there is someone on this sight that is combining the two, hopefully they will run into your question)
: potential interactions were found for the drugs you selected.
You searched for interactions between the following drugs:
* Phentermine
* Zoloft

(Note: Not all drug interactions are known or reported in the literature, and new drug interactions are continually being reported. This information is provided only for your education and for you to discuss with your personal healthcare provider. )
PHENTERMINE may interact with SERTRALINE HYDROCHLORIDE (in Zoloft)
Although the cause of this potential interaction is not clearly understood, sertraline may increase the effects of phentermine. This could cause an increase in side effects including irritability and depression, restlessness, and anxiety. Other more serious side effects include an increase in blood pressure, a rapid heart beat, and an abnormal heart rhythm. If sertraline and phentermine are used together, your doctor may want to monitor you closely for side effects and adjust the dose of either drug if needed. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
This interaction is poorly documented and is considered major in severity.

SERTRALINE HYDROCHLORIDE (in Zoloft) may interact with GRAPEFRUIT JUICE
Sertraline is broken down in the body by the liver. Grapefruit may interfere with the liver’s ability to break down the sertraline, causing sertraline to remain in the body for a longer period of time. This could cause an increase in both the intended effect and the side effects of sertraline including nausea, dizziness, headaches, and sleep disturbances. Patients taking sertraline may want to avoid any type of grapefruit including its juice, the fruit itself, and any supplements that may contain grapefruit. You may drink other types of juices with sertraline. You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.
This interaction is poorly documented and is considered minor in severity.

Thanks UltraLyght. I Asked on of those online doctors that you pay for and all they said was that it was o.k. I appreciate the input.

Just to mention also that my doctor said I could take the Zoloft with the Phen, but to be sure and take the Zoloft at night and the Phen in the morning.
It's worked out fine for me, but keep an eye on yourself. Marat

PS - His philosophy is that antidepressants make phen work BETTER, in other words.

Thank you so much for the input. I have been taking the Zoloft at night and the phen in the morning. No problems, so I think I am good to go.

I went to my one month weigh in yesterday and my weight is the same only down 12 lbs. TOM just left, and I told the doc, I did have a couple 3 Musketeers, but I stuck with my water and treadmill throughout. I get to the pharmacy for my Phen refill and she has prescribed me Zoloft as well. I told the pharmacist he's mistaken, he said No, this is what was sent for you....It's to curb your cravings. I left feeling I had to do better, but Zoloft?
Well, I will see how this all works out for me. I am moving and stressed over several issues. It may be for the best. I'll let you know how it works out for me.
