Cut These Daily Habits To Lose Weight On Phentermine
When it comes to boosting weight loss on phentermine, we’re often focused on making big changes, but sometimes, it’s the small changes that can make the biggest difference. We’re talking about those daily habits that have worked their way into our lives, many of which could really be adding up to a whole lot of extra calories that you might not even notice you’re consuming.
Here, we run through some of the daily habits that might be costing you your weight loss success and how to cut them!
1. A Spoonful Of Sugar
Singer Adele burst back onto the music scene in 2015 with a new album and a new slimmer figure and credits her weight loss down to just one change – cutting out her daily TEN cups of tea. Now, there’s nothing wrong with the odd cup of tea or coffee (although water is much healthier and calorie-free), but when you’re adding two sugars to each cup like Adele was, that’s a whole different story! If you’re finding it hard to cut out sugar despite the added help from phentermine then these tips should help you to say no to the sweet stuff.
2. Too Much TV
Watching too much TV won’t really make your eyes square, but this is one of the daily habits that could stop you from getting your body into shape. You might not think that switching off your television could help boost weight loss, but there is a proven link between television watching and weight. In this study reported in the Archives of Internal Medicine, adults who halved their television viewing time (by using an electronic lock-out system that switched off their TV after a certain period of time) not only burned an extra 119 calories per day, but they did so without altering what they ate. Aim for no more than around 11 hours a week which is approximately an hour and a half a day – enough to watch most movies or see two episodes of your favorite series each day.
3. Drinks With Dinner
There’s nothing wrong with the occasional drink with dinner, but if you regularly find yourself kicking back after work with alcohol then this could be one of the daily habits that is stopping you from reaching your full potential with phentermine. Not only does alcohol contain unnecessary calories and lots of sugar, but it also limits the effectiveness of phentermine as alcohol causes a reaction in the body, which means that phentermine is expelled quickly. And, on a more serious note, combining phentermine and alcohol can result in some serious side effects. As well as increasing appetite and making it more difficult for us to make healthy choices, alcohol also causes the liver to process food at a slower rate for several days, meaning that your body is left dragging behind when it comes to burning fat and calories. Step it back to once or twice a week at most and you’ll be sure to see and feel the benefits in no time!
4. Late Nights
Diet and exercise aren’t the only factors to consider when it comes to losing weight – our lifestyles also affect our ability to lose weight, and staying up late is one of the daily habits that could be keeping you from weight-loss success. We often explain how sleep is a crucial part of managing a healthy lifestyle with phentermine, but it’s also important to try to go to bed at a reasonable hour. This is because staying up later than your body really wants to increases levels of ghrelin, a hormone that stimulates cravings, and decreases levels of leptin, a hormone that makes people feel full. If you’re up late because you’re suffering from the phentermine side effect of insomnia, then these tips can offer you some help to try and overcome this problem.

5. Mindless Snacking
We’ve already explained how watching a lot of tvs and staying up late can both negatively affect weight loss, and one of the reasons for this is that both can involve mindless snacking; when you’re glued to the television or staying up late engrossed in work or hobbies, your mind is occupied but your body is bored and restless, which can lead to cravings for easy snacks. Since late nights and TV binges are too many daily habits that already make weight loss harder, it’s best to keep snacks out of the equation. What’s more, if you often sit down to watch a movie with an unhealthy snack like ice cream or chips, your brain starts to build an association between relaxing in front of the TV and food, meaning that it’s a much harder habit to break. So, start to build healthier associations, such as going for a brisk walk after dinner before you sit down for some TV time, or, if it’s hard for you to resist the urge to snack while you watch TV, then why not paint your nails so that you won’t want to put your hands in that bag of chips?!
6. Fancy Coffees
When your coffee order sounds more like a dessert than a hit of caffeine, those giant take-out cups can really pack in the calories. Treating yourself to a fancy coffee might seem harmless enough, but if this is one of your daily habits, then it could add up to a lot more calories than a healthy snack or even a meal if you go particularly crazy with the extras. Although everything is supersized these days, going small on your cappuccino could save you 60 calories, and then when it comes to milk, unless you specifically ask for nonfat, you’re getting 2 percent milk in most places, which means an extra 50 calories right there. Lastly, skip the syrup and cream, and try to add some sweetness with cinnamon or vanilla for extra flavor. The bottom line is, to maximize your phentermine weight loss, your coffee shouldn’t add up to more than 100 calories, so if you like your coffee with all the trimmings then maybe it should be a weekly treat you can really savor instead of something you indulge in every day.
7. Out To Lunch
As daily habits go, eating out at lunchtime is bad for both your wallet and your waistline. Constrained by time at lunch, we’ll often find ourselves opting for something quick, which can often mean our midday meal is processed, fried, and high in calories. By comparison, taking your lunch to work is much healthier as this means that you’re in control of the ingredients and how they’re cooked, but if you need any more persuading, it’s also estimated to save you a whopping $3,000 a year! So, take a look at these healthy lunch ideas and start planning how you’re going to spend that extra cash!
8. Soda
You might have noticed that a lot of the daily habits that can negatively affect weight loss involve the amount of empty liquid calories we can all consume without even realizing it, which brings us to one of the worst culprits: soda. One look at the ingredients and nutrition information on a can of soda will show you that the sugar content and host of artificial ingredients provide nothing more than empty calories and chemicals. In fact, The New York Times recently published this article linking sugary drinks to 184,000 worldwide deaths each year, with health professionals calling for them to be ‘eliminated from the food supply’ because of their link to deaths from diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. While drinking soda now and again won’t do you any harm, it has been reported that 64 million Americans drink soda every day, so it’s clear that it’s more than just the occasional treat for a lot of people. And, don’t be fooled into thinking that diet soda is a healthier alternative; researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center showed that people who drank two or more diet sodas daily had a six-times-greater increase in waist circumference at the end of the 10-year study than those who didn’t drink diet soda at all. If soda is your weakness, then check out these tips on how to kick your soda habit.

Good information. I needed to read the info concerning diet sodas because I often times feel they are not a negative impact on the body. I was pretty familiar with the other although TV was a surprise to me. I do watch a lot of TV because I am bedbound. I don’t snack while watching so maybe I’m still safe??
Hi Tanja,
In general, TV watching is a passive activity which people can devote hours and hours a day to. It’s not the TV watching itself which causes weight gain, it’s the time it takes up which can potentially stop you from doing other, healthier things – such as going to bed earlier or being more active. Since you are bedbound and are limited as to what activities you can do then not all of this advice will apply to you, but it is intended to give a general idea of the daily habits we all have which can negatively affect our weight without us realizing. Thanks for your comments and we’re glad you found it useful!
